Silicone-based Dressing Aid. This lubricant is essential for putting on and removing the garment without tearing it, as it eliminates the high friction between the latex and your skin. Never attempt to put on tight latex without an aid.
How should I clean and care for my latex items?
Use warm water and a specialized latex cleaner or mild soap. Rinse thoroughly inside and out to remove all traces of oil and sweat. Crucially: Never machine wash, never iron, and always air-dry away from direct sunlight and heat.
How should I store my latex garments to prevent damage and discoloration?
Store latex in a dark, cool, and dry place. Hang garments using padded or plastic hangers (avoid metal and wood). Store pieces separately in individual opaque plastic bags to prevent color transfer and chemical stains from light or metals.
Is it normal for latex to feel sticky or dull after cleaning?
Yes. After washing and drying, the latex will look matte and feel slightly sticky. To restore the signature shine, you must apply a silicone-based latex shiner to the exterior of the garment.
