High risk of staining. White latex is extremely sensitive to UV light (sunlight), heat, and contact with metals (hangers, jewelry). Any exposure can cause irreversible yellowing or browning (chemical stains). Store white pieces in a dark, cool place, individually wrapped in opaque, acid-free packaging.
Should I apply a dressing aid to the apron and headpiece, or just the main dress?
Only apply to the main garment. Aprons and headpieces are loose-fitting accessories, so they do not require lubricant. Applying aid to them can make them sticky and attract dust/hair. Only use a silicone shiner on their exterior for gloss, and use talcum powder on the interior where they touch the dress to prevent sticking.
How should I put on a button-front nurse dress without tearing the material around the buttons?
Open all closures fully. Carefully unfasten every button or snap closure first. Step into the dress and gently pull it up over the torso, smoothing the material. Fasten the buttons slowly one at a time, avoiding any sudden pulling or stressing the latex around the buttonholes.
How do I clean items with contrast trims (e.g., a white dress with red crosses/borders)?
Avoid color overlap when wet. Contrasting colors bleed easily when wet. Hand wash quickly and rinse thoroughly. Immediately after rinsing, use a soft towel to blot dry the colored areas first. Do not allow the wet colored trim to rest against the lighter material until both are completely dry.
